Somewhere in Time

"Oh, man!" Tai Kamiya dropped his jaw in utter amazement.  "Check this place out!"

JoeFive men and their digimon found themselves flying through a strange and magical place that looked a lot like space but not quite.  Secure in the light of the Future Guardian, all these creatures took in their surroundings.  The place was dark with some subtle shades of dark purples, blues, greens, and reds.  But specks of light dotted this mystical void, much like stars in outer space.  "What are those things?" Joe yelled so that he could be heard.

The Future Guardian trudged forward through this liquid frontier.  She had been through it many times before.  "All those white dots you see are portals to various points in Time," she answered, her voice smooth and knowing.

"There's so many of them!" Garurumon's eyes were wide with astonishment.

Greymon"Yes," the Future Guardian conceded.

Greymon turned his head to face the glowing sphere of light that hauled all of them through the valleys of Time.  "But how will we know which one to use?" his low voice echoed.

"Tsuriai is my anchor," the Internet Guardian assured the dinosaur digimon.  "As long as she is alive, I can home in on her.  But our journey will not be without risk," she warned.  "The closer we get to her, the rougher our ride will be, and the more difficult it will be for me to pinpoint the precise portal to use."

Wrapped in Greymon's arms, Tai shot a fist in the air, as if cheering.  "You can do it!" the man coached her along.  "We're behind you all the way!"

If the Internet Guardian could smile, she would have at that very moment.  It was comforting to know she had so much support in this dangerous mission to rescue Tsuriai and to save the Digital Universe from Negabyte.

"YEEHAW!" Davis Motomiya howled.  He was having the greatest time.  "This ride is wicked cool!"

All the men and digimon laughed.  It was something they hadn't done in what seemed like ages, although it had been less than twenty-four hours since Tsuriai disappeared.  This was the longest day in history, but, now that they were on their way to the Digital World of the past, the day would be over soon.  Just this mere thought sent confidence and determination coursing through the veins of the remaining Digi-Destined from the future.

TKTK couldn't help how exhilarated he felt.  He wasn't depressed anymore.  As a matter of fact, he could feel adrenaline pumping through him.  His heart burned with immense hope.  "We're coming, Suri!" he cheered.

Matt turned to see the huge smile plastered on his little brother's face.  "Yeah!" he nodded his head, cheering as well.

"I can't believe it!" Joe shook his head, smiling all the while.  "Who would have thought we'd be going back to the Digital World to save it from evil darkness again?!"

"Yeah!" Davis laughed.  "Look at all us old geezers!"

"It doesn't matter how old you are," Angemon spoke up.  He held TK in his arms as they traveled through Time.  "You are the Digi-Destined and will always be the warriors of goodness in the Digital World."

Ryoichi"Hey, TK!" Matt shouted.  His voice was scratchy and course, but he didn't care.  "Remember that song I wrote for the kids when you and Kari told them all those stories about our adventures in the Digital World?"

Both TK and Tai nodded their heads.  "Yeah!" Tai smiled.  "Ryo made you sing it every night before he went to sleep!"

"It was his favorite," TK agreed.

Matt's angel blue eyes sparkled as his lips turned up in a playful smirk.  Then he took a breath and began to sing...Crest of Hope

For loved ones we must fight.
To struggle is our fateful call.
In our hearts, a ray of HOPE

That yearns for what is right.
Crest of Courage

Recalling the lyrics of Matt's song, Tai joined him...

With COURAGE we go on,Crest of Sincerity
Although we know that we may fall.
We'll face evil darkness
With our TRUTH, our LOVE, our LIGHT.

All of a sudden, TK began singing as well.  Joe, Davis, the digimon, and the Future Guardian all smiled as the three men sang...Crest of Love

We can bring HARMONY
When we believe.
Though HOPE is frail,
It's hard to kill.Crest of Light

There can be peace and LOVE
When we believe.
Keep HOPE alive
And shine your LIGHT.
Crest of HarmonyWe can bring HARMONY.

Joe noticed Matt's carefully chosen words.  The name of every Crest of every Digi-Destined was included in his lyrics!  TK's Hope, Tai's Courage, Mimi's Truth or Sincerity, Sora's Love, Kari's Light.  Even Tsuriai's Crest of Harmony!  The blue-haired doctor listened on for more indications of their Crests...Crest of Knowledge

In this time of fear,
When darkness casts its cold shadow,
It seems like strength and KNOWLEDGE aren't
Enough to find our way.Crest of Perseverance

Yet we shall PERSEVERE
With FAITH and FRIENDS right by our side.
The TRUTH and LIGHT within our hearts
No one can take away.Crest of Reliability

We can bring HARMONY
When we believe.
Though HOPE is frail,
It's hard to kill.Crest of Friendship

Now everyone joined in when they recognized the chorus.  The void of Time resounded with the hopeful song of so many creatures...

There will be peace and LOVE
When we believe.
Keep HOPE alive
And shine your LIGHT.

Shine it bright!

We can bring HARMONY!

All of a sudden, as if on cue, the digimon and the men they held were jolted around a bit.  "Wh..whoa!"

"Hold on!" the Future Guardian called back.  Her spherical body began to glow with a fiercer, brighter light as she struggled against some temporal turbulence.  "We're getting close!"

"We're almost there!" Davis cheered.

Then all five men looked ahead, their eyes focused and their muscles steeled.  Together, they shouted, "We're coming, Suri!"
