Present: The Defragmented Mountains

Tsuriai's father and Cody stood side by side, braced for action.  "Get him, Shakkoumon!" they shouted together.  And the steel-angel digimon, a mutant type of digital monster, did just that.

Kachina Bomb!

Metal discs came flying out of Shakkoumon's belly, exploding all around OmniNegabyte as the dark monster tried to shield his face.  "AARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!"

And right along side the DNA digimon was his friend and ally, HeraldAngemon.  Tsuriai's Mega-level digimon crossed his arms before him, forming an 'X' in front of his chest.  In seconds, his wings started to glow, as if charging with power.  Then he let his attack loose.

Heaven's Touch!

HeraldAngemon uncrossed his arms, shoving them forward.  Millions of energized feathers shot from all six of his wings like magical darts, impaling the toughened skin of OmniNegabyte.

"AAAHHHH!!!!!" the evil creature roared in pain.  With the onslaught of bombs and darts saturated in goodness, he was becoming infuriated and quite annoyed.  But the digimon weren't the only ones with attacks.

Black Nova!

OmniNegabyte opened his mouth wide, shooting several black fireballs at his opponents from his throat.

The Future Guardian shouted as loud as she could.  "Watch out!"

"Whoa!" Shakkoumon dove out of the line of fire.  HeraldAngemon, too, dashed out of the way.

But then, unexpectedly, another attack was called out.  But everyone knew they weren't powers of either Shakkoumon, HeraldAngemon, or OmniNegabyte.

Seven Heavens!

A barrage of fireballs hailed down upon OmniNegabyte.  And then came another attack.

Dragon Fire!

Everyone spun around to see who had come to their aid.  "Seraphimon!" HeraldAngemon smiled at the arrival of his friends.  "Magnadramon!"  It was good to see that TK's and Kari's digimon were safe.

But, more importantly, the presence of Magnadramon and Seraphimon meant that someone else had come to the battle as well.  Tsuriai watched with eager anticipation as two figures climbed up the hill of floating rock fragments.  As they got closer, her assumptions were proven correct.  "TK!" she cheered.  "Kari!"  The blonde girl immediately ran to them.

Justice Beam!

Fire Tornado!

Kari looked up at a smiling young girl, accepting her hands to be assisted up onto a rock.  "Tsuriai!" the brown-haired girl smiled, her eyes a bit teary, but not from sadness.  She was feeling much better now that her strength was returning, and she was so happy to see that her daughter from the future was alright.  Kari threw herself into a hug with the blonde girl.  "I was so worried about you!"

TK stood just behind the hugging girls, watching in silence but happy to see the two girls hugging each other.  Right in front of him was his best friend and future wife and their future daughter.

Star of Peace!

"Oh!" Tsuriai's father froze, petrified at what he was seeing.  "Kari!"

Cody looked to the older man, seeing that he was pale with shock.  It didn't take the dark-haired boy long to figure out that TK was freaking out about seeing Kari from the past.

"There she is..." TK barely whispered.  "It's been so long..."

Seraphimon and HeraldAngemon teamed up, side by side.

Hallowed Knuckle!

Divine Elements!

That's right, Cody remembered.  Tsuriai's mom has been dead for a while.  He nudged the man from the future in the side.  "Go talk to her," he coached him.

"I...I..."

Cody just smiled up at him.  "KARI!!!" he shouted.  If Tsuriai's father wasn't going to make the first move, then he was just going to have to bring Kari to him.  The green-eyed boy gestured to the girls to come over.

Kari turned at the call of her name.  There, standing beside Cody was a tall man, much older than anyone else there at the Defragmented Mountains.  But, though he looked a little different and had aged quite a bit, there was no mistaking who that mysterious person was.  "Oh!" she gasped.

OmniNegabyte summoned another one of his attacks, creating and commanding a swarm of poisonous insects.

Plague of Darkness!

The younger TK spotted him, too.  "No way..." he breathed.  "That's me!"  His arm was pointing at a blonde man next to Cody.

Tsuriai grabbed the hands of both TK and Kari and pulled them with her as she ran to her father and friend.  "Daddy!  Cody!"

Kari and the younger TK both raised their eyebrows.  "Daddy?!?!" they looked to each other, not knowing what to think as they were being dragged across a bit of the mountain side.

In no time, Tsuriai brought them all together.  "Kari," Cody spoke up first.  "I'm so glad you're okay."

Fire Tornado!

The brown-haired girl just smiled at her friend.  But then someone else said her name.  "Kari..." Tsuriai's father whispered.  She looked up and found herself caught by a pair of angel-blue eyes.  For a moment, they just gazed at one another.

Tsuriai stepped into view.  "This is my father," she gestured toward the older TK.  "He came all the way from the future to find me."

The younger TK's eyes were wide with disbelief.  "This is so weird..."

Seven Heavens!

Tsuriai's father placed a shy hand behind his head.  "No kidding," he admitted.  But, while he was nervous, he was still smiling.  He looked to the younger version of himself.  "It's been a long time since I've been that young," he smirked.  But then he turned to the young Kari, becoming serious.  "And I never thought I'd see you again."

Kari gazed up into the older man's light-blue eyes, seeing in them the same adoring love and passion the younger TK held for her.  It definitely was him.  And, behind those aging eyes, she could feel a longing and sadness.  As of yet, she still hadn't learned of her accidental death in the future, so Kari didn't understand why this man, who was so happy to see her, was sad as well.  But, before she could even utter her question, a loud boom followed by a scream caught the attention of all the humans there.

Black Nova!

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!"

"HeraldAngemon!" Shakkoumon and Magnadramon shouted with sudden fear.  "Seraphimon!"  The two angel digimon had been fighting side by side when OmniNegabyte reared his head back and let loose a fire bomb of black energy.  The nova struck both digimon straight on, knocking them out of the air.

"Oh, no!" the Digi-Destined gasped.

Tsuriai ran in the direction of her fallen digimon partner.  "Veric!"

Magnadramon immediately flew to the side of the angels.  Shakkoumon turned to OmniNegabyte enraged.  "RAAAAHHH!!!!"

Kachina Bomb!

"Seraphimon!  HeraldAngemon!" Magnadramon jostled the injured Mega-level digimon.  "Are you okay?"

"Uuuuhhhnnnnn...." HeraldAngemon grabbed the side of his head.

Seraphimon sat up, rubbing his arm.  "We're alright," he answered with a bit of a growl.  He was angry that he allowed himself to get hurt.

"Oh, Veric!" a blonde girl fell to her knees beside the angel digimon.  She hugged him tightly.  "I was so worried!"

The Future Guardian dropped in on them.  "We should be," she put in.  Then she instructed Tsuriai and the three digimon she was with to observe the fight.  "Look!  Even with all the fighting, OmniNegabyte hasn't gotten any weaker!"

Seraphimon grabbed the hand of his fellow angel digimon and assisted HeraldAngemon up.  "Then we'll just keep fighting," the knight angel answered in response.  "Let's go!"

The three digimon flew to the aid of Shakkoumon.
